Review and approve analytical work performed by chemists.Approve chemistry of finished dosage forms for market release and/or chemistry of raw material for release to production on an as needed basis.Supervise chemists and technicians and implement finite planning for all laboratory work relative to product analysis.Review and approve laboratory investigations.Review and update departmental and applicable site procedures.Monitor work-group/defined shift for efficiency, compliance to procedures and productivity.Drive process improvements with Production and Packaging Departments on laboratory product flow and associated projects.Responsible for laboratory safety and cGMP compliance.Mentor new chemists in proper techniques and procedures.All other duties as assigned.Boehringer Ingelheim Roxane, Inc. and Roxane Laboratories, Inc are subsidiaries of Boehringer-Ingelheim Corp.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:BS/BA degree in Chemistry. BS in a related field may be considered.Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.Five years experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory with proven leadership experience and/or project management.Capable of working independently and with minimal supervision and training.Proven competency with general analytical instrumentation.Candidate must be proficient in computer applications including Word, Access, Excel and LIMS. Experience using SAP preferred.Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and assess contingency plans. Must have proven analytical investigation skills, good written and oral communication skills.
