SERVICE ADVISOR/ VIS-CHEK OPERATOR

SERVICE ADVISOR *NIGHT SHIFT*
The Service Advisor will
provide good customer service while recording the repairs that are needed to put the customer on the
road in a timely manner..

Personal Requirements:
Possess basic mechanical aptitude.
Be able to read and write business correspondence.
Must be able to communicate effectively.
Capable of performing basic math calculations.
Education/Training or Experience for SERVICE ADVISOR:
High school graduate or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

VIS-CHEK OPERATOR
The Vis-Chek Operator will help
the Service Department become more profitable by selling Visual Inspections to all customers.

Personal Requirements:
Must be able to drive tractors bobtail and straight trucks.
Possess basic mechanical aptitude.
Able to read and write business correspondence.
Must be able to communicate effectively.
Capable of performing basic math calculations.
Education/Training or Experience for VIS-CHEK OPERATOR:
One to two years related experience and/or training in the heavy-duty truck industry.
Must be able to use the computer proficiently.
REQUIREMENTS
Major Duties and Responsibilities for SERVICE ADVISOR:
Communicate with customers on repairs that are needed.
Schedule service work to be done.
Open repair order and record information necessary to perform repairs.
Assign repair order to mechanic.
Supervise mechanics.
Review and close repair order.
Work with Sales Department getting new or used trucks ready for delivery.
Call on customers to sell service and Preventative Maintenance Contracts.
Answer phone when Service Manager is busy.

Major Duties and Responsibilities for VIS-CHEK OPERATOR:
Sell Vis-Chek inspections to customers.
Operate the Visual Inspection Station (Vis-Chek)
Inform customers of the problems found during the Vis-Chek process.
Perform pre-delivery inspections of new trucks.
Shuttle trucks.
Assist in repairing trucks when Service Department is overly full.
