SCS Crisis Counselor

Are you looking to make a change? At Youth Villages we change the lives of youth and their families every day. Our newest program, Specialized Crisis Services (SCS), provides in-the-moment crisis counseling to children and families with a wide variety of psychiatric needs. Youth Villages SCS uses an empirically based therapeutic model called Multisystemic Therapy (MST). Interventions focus on resolving the current crisis and developing skills to prevent future ones. Ideal therapists for this dynamic program are creative, highly flexible, self-driven, strength-focused and open to high levels of supervision. We provide a very high level of support and training. The position requires a minimum of a bachelors degree with one year experience in a counseling or clinical setting; a masters degree is preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
Masters Degree in social services field is strongly preferred. One year counseling experience is required.

Some locations may consider a bachelors degree in the social services field with at least 1-2 years of direct crisis counseling or counseling with adolescents.
