REQUIREMENTS
Must have Property and Casualty insurance experience.
Will assist in maintenance of all policy software as it pertains to
production software systems. Train and/or learn various
manual/computer policy rating algorithms, as well as other insurance
systems in order to provide support to all user areas. Work with
software application vendors to provide them with specifications and
details regarding system changes. Test and implement new lines of
insurance on all supported insurance systems by developing and
executing text matrices for the following areas: computer rated and
manually rated lines for commercial business written in several
states. Testing consists of assigning appropriate coding, entering
data, reviewing output, file layouts and screens, reporting problems
and subsequently testing fixes, coordinating user testing (when
appropriate) and furnishing users with applicable processing
instructions. Analyze company approved filings, bureau
circulars/bulletins to create specification document to submit to
vendor. Test and implement state and bureau changes. Research
insurance system's problems reported to internal help desk and remedy
as necessary. Researching problems can involve use of query or
another report writer in order to determine the scope of the problem.
Research user requested modifications/enhancements on any supported
insurance system. Researching modifications can involve writing
detailed specifications documents covering all aspects of policy
processing, output, screen design, rating algorithms and interface.
Maintain documentation of reported problems or system enhancement
requests which includes; initial report, specifications of the
problem to the vendor, test matrices, output of test results, vendor
communication, move sheets to test and production, closing
documentation. Provide supplementary user training and system
demonstrations when necessary. Provide system definition and
processing to any user department via written/oral communication.
Monitor system output for problems. Any exposure to Point and C-Path
vendors is a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Office package, Crystal
reports, Access, etc.
