The candidate who best fits this Sales position will be primarily responsible for these territories: Sacramento South, CA. The Respiratory/Dermatology Sales Consultant will be responsible for the sales volume and share growth of the assigned product line as well as representing and promoting Novartis as a leader in the marketplace. Incumbents will be responsible for covering a large territory and will focus on the most productive and influential customers in the territory, including office-based physicians, pharmacists, medical directors and other medical and nursing-related personnel. Another component of this role includes activities such as opinion leader development. Bachelors Degree and 2 to 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience. 1 to 3 years of Specialty Sales experience preferred. This position requires a regular amount of field activity with moderate amounts of travel. Travel would include 2 to 3 overnight stays away from home per month with occasional group meetings that may last 4 to 5 days. Candidates need to be motivated, have a high degree of technical expertise, exceptional selling skills and familiarity with Specialty Physicians such as: Dermatologists, Podiatrists, Pediatricians and Primary Care Physicians. This position requires a high degree of autonomy as well as exceptional communication, organization, planning and decision-making skills.
