Job Description:
Presently, we are hiring for a Full time Lead Residential Counselor. This position has the opportunity to work directly with adults with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. The Lead Counselor has some daily administrative responsibilities and some employee training and quality assurance responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
All positions require direct care support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. In some cases this includes some assistance with personal hygiene skills. Although adaptive equipment is available, there might be some lifting required.
A minimum of one year experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is required. We provide all required trainings. These trainings include (but are not limited to): CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, and Crisis Management. Minimal local travel may be required.
Implement a biopsycosocial model of support for individuals with intellectual disabilities
Complete documentation in accordance with Medicaid Waiver regulations and company policy
Monitors conformance with QA standards and procedures
Suggests methods for improving quality of services
Ensures quality problems are identified and resolved
Ensures that all employees receive all mandatory training
Assesses staff skill levels and provides needed training to ensure employee competency and skill development
Researches and shares additional training opportunities
Plans, develops, and provides training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods
Explains rules, policies or regulations
