Research Specialist, Auto Retail Research - 1702

J.D. Power and Associates is a global marketing information firm that conducts independent and unbiased surveys of customer satisfaction, product quality and buyer behavior. Today, the firm's services include industry-wide syndicated studies; proprietary (commissioned) tracking studies; media studies; forecasting; and training services, as well as business operations analyses, and consultancies on customer satisfaction trends.



We are currently seeking a Research Specialist, Auto Retail Research in our Westlake Village, CA location.



Key Goals of this Position:Participate in checking the accuracy of client deliverables including written report, data tables, mTAB and web delivery Significant input in the design of research projects (telephone, mail, internet) Identify problems that will impact timing/cost/quality; alert team members of the issue and provide possible solutions Demonstrate knowledge of basic analytical techniques (e.g., significance testing, correlation coefficients, measures of central tendency and variation) Demonstrate understanding of mail, phone and internet Market Research data collection techniques Demonstrate understanding of basic sampling techniques (e.g., random and stratified random sampling) Keep abreast of industry and client events/issues relevant to business area (on a global basis where appropriate) Understand and comply with ISO requirements including generation and resolution of CPARs when appropriate Provide Salesforce.com updates to AEs; Collaborate with AEs to enter new information and update as required
REQUIREMENTS


Education/Experience Required:Four-year College Degree or equivalent experience 2-4 years experience, with 1 year relevant work experience Strong interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task Team orientation Strong customer focus Experience in using Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
