Requirements Management - JAD, IEEE, DOORS, ESAP

An information technology company in Washington, DC is seeking someone to work in Requirements Management. Successful candidate will:
Develop, validate, document, and review system concepts, requirements, interfaces, and process models, and requirements processes.
Provide support for requirements processes, procedures, documentation, and tracking tools for all phases of the life cycle process.
Establish and maintain a standard framework for the collection, storage, validation, and management of system requirements and in developing tracking mechanisms, documentation, tool sets, and business processes to improve requirements management practices.
Provide technical assistance to development teams to ensure that requirements and models are properly addressed in requirements-related documentation.
Review and recommend revisions to requirements management policies, processes, and procedures.
Maintain the Requirements Management portion of the Enterprise Systems Assurance Plan (ESAP).
Assess and track requirements management documentation, including those generated by system developers, review boards, and user groups.
Establish and maintain a standard process for identifying, tracking, and resolving issues related to the IT project requirements. Provide training and briefings in the USCIS requirements.
Have an understanding and intimate knowledge of IEEE requirements standards.

This is an estimated six-month contract position, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in Vienna, VA. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Southeast.


Requirements:


BS/BA degree with a minimum of 7 years experience in Systems Analysis, Requirements Analysis, or Systems Engineering.
Long-term experience with standard systems development methodologies and system development life cycles.
Experience with process modeling and data flow diagramming using standard Case tools.
Familiarity with DOORS or its equivalent.
Familiarity with JAD session or user group facilitation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with Requirements management toolsets and processes. (BONUS)
