Requirements Consultant - HW
This role could be located in either The Woodlands or Newport Beach.
A Requirements Consultant (RC) is responsible for leading the requirements process during a new client/service implementation and for large change orders resulting in thorough requirements that match the clients needs. He or she consults with clients and ongoing teams to balance those needs with compliance, best practice, and Hewitt operational capabilities.
Activities/Responsibilities
Identifies and defines the clients needs/requirements; leads client requirement meetings
Resolves open requirements items and manages the client deadlines as it relates to the requirements definition process
Subject matter expert for the implementation team, including Shared Services, on such topics as plan provisions, best practices, service delivery model, ongoing processing, application of clients and Hewitts business objectives and requirements
Predicts, identifies, and communicates internal and external risks related to plan design, and consults client, client team, and client prospects on legislative issues/changes, best practices, and delivery model
Provides input to Domain Leadership on client prevalence, client issues, requirements definition process and related tools
Participates in internal and external acceptance review process
Provides coaching and feedback and identifies learning/experiential opportunities to develop the Benefits Services Manager during the implementation

Education and domain knowledge development of Benefits Service Managers (BSMs), BOMs, LSAs, and SAs

Adherence to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Requirements Definition Process
Interdependencies
Works with Benefits Implementation Manager (BIM), Lead Systems Analyst (LSA) and Calc Engine Lead Systems Analyst (CE LSA) to manage risks and timelines
Works with BSM, Benefits Operations Manager (BOM), LSA, CE LSA, and to identify creative solutions to issues
Works with communication practice on client communication material
Educates client team and third parties (i.e., trustee, advice providers, annuity providers, carriers) on best practices
Works with client to resolve discrepancies among plan document, requirements, and administrative practice
Works with Human Resources Outsourcing (HRO) Legal
Works with the BSM/BOM to accurately document requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Skills
Intimate knowledge of the service specific delivery model features and capabilities
Prioritizes the open items to ensure they stay in scope, and to recognize when and if requirements can be accommodated within the system
Navigates the SDLC site and the Enabler
Recognizes deviations from best practices
Ability to accurately articulate the limitations of the system
In-depth multi-client perspective of the services legislative requirements, plan provisions, and administrative processes and procedures
Evaluates requirements document for accuracy
Usesat an expert leveltools used to communicate with the client (artifacts, plan sponsor site, YBR demo site)
Presents information in a clear, concise way
Education
Experience with SDLC Principles/Concepts
Bachelors degree required
Professional designations (CEBS, ASPA, etc.) desired
Other
Willing to travel 15%
