Requirements Analyst

In support of our client, we seek a Requirements Analyst (Functional Analyst) for a 6-month contract-to-hire position. You will be assigned to the firm’s client, the largest hospital system in the world, physically working at their facility in Silver Spring, MD.The Requirements Analyst provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
Interact with multiple Government Agencies (primarily the Mental Health Executive Committee), their staff and/or contract staff for this project.
Elicit, define, and document Mental Health Information content, structure, and processes for use in the the firm's portal.
Elicit information management requirements and document the requirements to the point where they can be implemented within the context of the portal.
Establish business processes and procedures to enable long-term information content development and sharing.Core Responsibilities include:Ability to comprehend varied business scenarios and translate those into functional (use cases) and non-functional requirements.
Model use cases and communicate functional requirements to other project members.
Provide input to project management regarding the stability and risk associated with various requirements.
Ability to manage multiple mutually independent priorities for requirements.
Utilize excellent facilitation and communications skills to manage customer expectations and ensure clear and consistent understanding of system functions.
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers.
Understand where requirements analyst activities fit in the development process lifecycle.
Continually stay aware of the latest technologies
Experience with UML (Unified Messaging Language)
Advanced Responsibilities:Has established domain knowledge in one or more vertical areas
Ability to model the business domain to clarify business needs in a manner consistent with deriving key functional capabilities for automation.
Supports the business development activities of the company.
Identifies customer needs and aligns the company as customer solutions provider by credibly articulating the company’s capabilities as they relate to customer needs.
Introduce new technologies to the company’s technical staff that can improve overall software development capability.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates with a few years of analytical business process engineering with a very good knowledge in UML.
