Key responsibilities include:


Interfacing with UnitedHealth Networks Reimbursement Policy managers to research and develop proposed reimbursement policies for UHC.
Researching and documenting the impact of new, changed and deleted codes on UHC reimbursement policies.
Participating on cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely implementation of adopted policies.
Providing coding and reimbursement policy expertise to UHC departments.
Researching Medicare and industry standards.
Ensuring claims are handled in proper accordance with policies.
Retrieving information from specialty sites regarding reimbursement and coding standards.


Job Requirements:

Candidates must have related health insurance experience, ideally with medical coding. Medicare experience is also required. RNs and LPNs would be best equipped for this role. CMS reimbursement policy experience is essential, and medical coding certification is strongly preferred. Experience working with external clients would be an asset. Proficiency with MS Office applications is key.
