Recruiting Specialist (Bilingual)
Report to the Human Resources/ Staffing Manager for HSBC Mortgage Services. The Contract Recruiter’s role will provide the Business, HR, Mortgage Services’ leadership teams and the client groups within the business with staffing resources and support.
Manage the recruitment process, data, reporting and program related responsibilities with the objective to source quality and a diverse slate of candidates for both exempt and non-exempt positions. Assist managers to hire talent and address resource needs within the business. Partner with hiring managers for staffing strategies involving sourcing, outreach, diversity, candidate assessment, offer packages and hiring decisions.
Effectively manage relationships in support of business and department goals. Support and manage diversity goals through management of candidate slate, coaching/ counseling of managers and partnership with HR team members. Stay informed of developments in related areas such as compliance, compensation, employee benefits and general human resource practices.
Maintain and cultivate relationships with outreach organizations and staffing agencies as needed through sourcing. Liaise with external agencies and internal resources to create job postings and advertisements. Screen, interview and assess candidates against position criteria and business needs. Provide coaching and developmental feedback to hiring managers and consult with HR Generalist teams for hiring decisions, potential employee relations issues and outcomes from the interview/ assessment process.
Extend job offers; coordinate hiring/ orientation process with staffing team members and Hiring Managers. Manage pre-employment related processes. Partner with HR Generalist Teams on related issues. Maintain applicant tracking and associated MIS. Fulfill monthly and quarterly reporting and provide ad-hoc requests as required. May also be required to develop and implement forms, processes and HR related tools/ resources as assigned. Perform other special projects duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree
Five years in staffing and recruitment
Three plus years prior experience in a staffing-related function
Knowledge and prior experience with Human Resource policies & practices
Proven ability to develop and manage relationships with client and customer base
Demonstrated ability to interface with and coach hiring managers
Utilization of E-solutions and web-based tracking and sourcing tools
Interview, evaluate and assess candidates in a high volume environment
Behavioral interviewing techniques and staffing in financial services for multiple disciplines preferred
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
The ability to relate to and influence individuals at all levels
Creative thinking and planning skills
Strong aptitude for the design and delivery of processes
Results oriented and strong organizational and follow up skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Quality orientation to include knowledge of related compliance and audits
Leadership, self-awareness, integrity; strong analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
Strong business acumen and a commitment to continuous improve with a high degree of initiative
Receptive to change with the demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment
Mature orientation with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with tact and discretion
Strong technical aptitude to include MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
