POSITION PURPOSE:
To assure that quality employees are recruited and hired according to established company guidelines and policies, as well as maintain compliance with state and federal regulations. Prepare affirmative action statistics for inclusion in affirmative action program and conduct analysis on effectiveness of affirmative action efforts making recommendations for improvement.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Initiates the recruitment process once the approved personnel requisitions are received from management. Identifies recruitment sources, conducts screening interviews for those applicants that meet the necessary qualifications, refers screened applicants to hiring management, obtains references in accordance with established company procedures, administers standardized pre-employment tests to applicants, and prepares documentation appropriate to the recruitment process. Must assure compliance with EEO and ADA requirements, and compliance with established Affirmative Action Program.
Coordinates the internal job posting system to assure opportunities are provided to current employees for upward mobility, and to assist management with the referral of internal applicants.
Assists in the collection and analysis of statistical data necessary to prepare the company Affirmative Action Program. Should our employee base not be in parity for Affirmative Action, take the necessary recruiting steps to remedy the situation based on the plan set up in the AA Program.
REQUIREMENTS
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a business-related degree plus a minimum of 2 years related Human Resources experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, human relations skills, knowledge of employment related regulations such as EEO, ADA, and Affirmative Action, experience in interviewing applicants, and detail-oriented. Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
