Recruiter - Retail Staffing
Manage the full cycle recruitment process for open positions to include identifying recruiting sources, sourcing, prescreening and qualifying candidates, providing a diverse slate of qualified candidates to the hiring manager, developing interview guides, interviewing candidates and extending job offers
Specific duties include:
.Maintain a funnel of qualified candidates for all open positions within the organization
.Partner with clients through dialogue or observation to ensure full and complete understanding of job requirements and expectations for appropriate and targeted recruiting
.Develop external recruiting resources for qualified candidates, including visiting and building relationships with local colleges and universities, technical colleges, civic and community organizations, Chambers of Commerce, churches, unemployment offices, etc.
.Attend targeted external events and actively promote Verizon Wireless as an Employer of Choice through presentations, speaking engagements, employer workshops, and other efforts
.Utilize internal resources, such as Public Relations, Business Sales and other teams to identify potential recruiting opportunities
.Responsible for identifying and utilizing all recruiting resources such as job fairs (internal company-sponsored and external), internet searches, newspaper and radio advertisements, etc.
.Research and select viable and cost-effective recruiting efforts and coordinate on-site support for selected events
.Interface with advertising vendor to identify and develop cost-effective recruiting initiatives and collaborate with management team to develop and implement recruiting strategies that will attract qualified candidates
.Ensure compliance of Affirmative Action and EEO requirements
.Coordinate vendor relationships with PeopleScout, Adecco and other external recruiting firms
.Perform analysis of the staffing process, staffing results and other Human Resources metrics related to staffing effectiveness
.Analyze and maintain client metrics by identifying recruiting opportunities and managing the timeliness of the manager interviews to improve time to fill and reduce cost per hire
.Facilitate new hire orientation as needed
Candidate Qualifications:
.Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
.2 years Human Resources experience with at least 1 year of sourcing/recruiting experience required; prefer experience in retail staffing
.Strong computer skills and ability to utilize HRIS systems; PeopleSoft experience preferred; proficiency in Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
.Strong analytical and problem solving skills needed to generate reports and make recommendations for course of action based upon data
.Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
.Superior verbal, written and presentation skills
.Strong interpersonal skills
.Ability to work in a fast paced environment
.Facilitation/training skills preferred
.Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities in a timely and efficient manner
.Ability to work with all levels of management and employees and to interact with management on a daily basis
.Ability to manage remote recruiting and staffing efforts
.Excellent follow-up skills required
