RN--Consult - A - Nurse - 1352SW PRN -Vary

Location: Southwest Florida Regional Med Center - Ft Myers
Schedule: Full-timeA registered nurse who is responsible for receiving incoming calls from the community, answering health questions, providing basic first aid options, and facilitating referral to primary providers, specialists, HCA healthcare facilities, and community resources. This nurse will also educate the caller when appropriate regarding immediate care advice and preventive behaviors. Assesses plans and evaluates patient care needs. Carries out physician orders. Instructs and educates patients and families. Provides age and culturally appropriate care. Orients and mentors new staff members. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Qualifications Required Job Qualifications include: Current licensure as an RN Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
