RN Clinical Reimbursement Specialist ~ MDS Consultant

This exciting executive-level opportunity for a District-Level Clinical Reimbursement Specialist covering our facilities throughout Rapid City, South Dakota region, as well as our sister facilities throughout our MidWest Region. This position will provide consultation, training, and support in assigned facilities concerning Medicare & Medicaid and state case mix payment system for assigned area.

Performs standardized facility visits to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations and Company policy and procedures. Monitors, consults, and makes effective recommendations for modifications to existing facility processes, systems, policies and practices which assure efficient, effective and compliant state Medicaid/Medicare payment performance.

Analyzes systems and processes to determine that federal and state regulations as well as company policies and procedures are followed. Promotes compliance by performing periodic audits of MDS assessments, supporting documentation and other relevant data.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualified applicants will have the following qualifications:

*Current RN license in the state where consultation is provided

*3-5 years of clinical experience in a long-term care setting with multi-facility consultation and-or management preferred ~ preferably in a MDS Coordinator position.

*Current knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and other case mix payment systems

*Understanding of clinical management systems including business systems, budgets and resource management

*Must have a good working knowledge of the RAI process

*Competency in current clinical software system

*Able and willing to travel extensively and work on-site in facilities - SD, NE, MN, WI, IN and MO.
