This position could be located in the Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, or Pittsburgh offices. The purpose of the Pursuit Consultant is to support new business pursuit teams in developing, refining, and producing pursuit, presentation, and business
development marketing collateral and related deliverables designed to competitively position the Deloitte U.S. Member Firms and client service professionals. The primary role of this individual will be to lead the development of pursuit strategies and persuasive deliverables that differentiate and create a competitive advantage for Deloitte.
Responsibilities include:
- Drive the development of coordinated and effective pursuit communication strategies, advising pursuit team members on communication objectives, messages, and tone. Employ Deloitte Approach pursuit strategies.
- Lead the development and refinement of a focused pursuit and differentiation strategy, develop pursuit schedule, and lead discussions around prospect "pain" points, political environment, solution differentiators, and value proposition.
- Drive the development of a persuasive and value-focused proposal, develop production schedule, and maintain timelines and responsibility matrices for complex proposal
development efforts, working with diverse groups of professionals locally and virtually.
- Initiate the development and refinement of a persuasive and value-focused presentation by strategizing presentation objectives, advising pursuit team members on key messages and message delivery, crafting scripts and speaking outlines and organizing and coaching rehearsal sessions
- Collaborate with Graphic Designers to conceptualize win theme imagery and to ensure that key messages and other graphics/text are displayed in an appealing and appropriate manner.
- Act as a liaison between production, proofreading, and concurring review, as well as graphic designers - as appropriate - reviewing and revising meeting, proposal, and presentation materials throughout the development process to ensure quality and consistency of messaging. - Excellent written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated expertise with collaborative writing processes, a variety of corporate
communication styles, and knowledge of editorial processes required to support collaborative writing teams (such as standardization, parallelism, and application of consistent document tone)
- Project management experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to analyze data and make sound observations and recommendations
- Knowledge of Internet navigation and research tools
- Experience working as a team player in a large, matrix organization
- Strong familiarity with a range of style guides (such as Chicago Manual of Style, AP Stylebook and Libel Manual, etc.) and the application of corporate communication standards to the range of material.
- Proven ability to establish rapport and work successfully with wide range of professionals at various employment levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
