Project Engineer (Corrosion)

Altran Solutions is currently looking for a Corrosion/Materials Scientist as part of our investigative laboratory. In this role, the successful candidate will perform hands-on failure analysis, material section assistance, engineering investigations, laboratory tests and simulations for customers in medical, consumer products, aerospace, automotive and energy industries. As Project Engineer, the incumbent manages projects from inception to completion. Meets with customer to assess needs, writes proposals, creates and maintains budget and sets the course and oversees the project from a technical standpoint. Resposnibilities:

•Technical lead on projects.
•Offers support to other projects in a variety of disciplines.
•Creates lead on work after the project is complete.
•Builds good customer relationships.
•Acts as a customer liaison for various projects.
•Integral part of technical marketing and business development to expand existing and develop new clients.
•Develops business proposals and estimating a purposed budget.
REQUIREMENTS
•Ph.D. in metallurgical engineering, materials science or mechanical engineering.
•Broad background with experience with metals and non-metals
•5 years of experience in consulting or energy power plant.
•Ability to see the big picture and anticipate any need that may come up during the life of the project.
•Strong written and oral communication skills.
•Fundamental knowledge of materials, corrosion, and mechanical properties of materials.
•Ability to work in a team environment.
