The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating participant accrual, data collection, and data entry processes of two funded projects. The "Philadelphia FRESH" project is an intervention trial designed to reduce underserved young children's exposure to second-hand smoke. For "FRESH", will coordinate project accrual and data collection activities with partnering WIC and Pediatric healthcare clinics in Philadelphia communities surrounding Temple University. Will assist the Principal Investigator in recruiting additional partner clinics, maintaining relationships with existing ones, and in coordinating recruitment media and advertising efforts. Collect, store, and maintain biosample inventories, shipments, and data; maintain and organize study supply inventories; and ensure that the research staff adhere to data integrity and quality assurance protocols. The "Quit 4 Good" project is a placebo-controlled intervention study with bupropion that includes an experimental relapse prevention component conducted in the behavioral laboratory. Perform other duties as assigned.


Bachelor's degree preferably in the social sciences. At least two years directly related experience at the Project Coordinator/Manager level or four years experience at the research assistant level. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:
*Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and ACCESS, as well as SPSS and Oracle.

Preferred:
*Demonstrated knowledge of academic research process highly preferred.
