Predictability and accuracy of business and financial results is paramount in business today. Executives must successfully manage major strategic and operational initiatives to accomplish their goals. Ernst & Young provides a broad range of risk based advisory services including Program Risk Advisory (PRA). Over time, we have built the PRA practice to assist our clients in proactively identifying and managing risks in programs and individual projects. PRA assists organizations by providing independent verification of the state of mission critical business and IT programs and initiatives (Growth or Operational Excellence). Additionally the PRA team assists organizations with designing and implementing the governance programs necessary for ongoing decision making and risk management that leads to success. Our team provides fact-based advice to senior executives in five strategic areas: Independent Project and Program Review (IPR) Independent Program Management Office (PMO) Investment Governance and Portfolio Management Strategic Sourcing Risk Advisory Expert Witness Services We are currently seeking a Senior Consultant professional to serve as a team member of client engagements in the PRA practice. The successful candidate will work with E&Y Leadership and client personnel to identify, analyze, and evaluate project risk factors; and/or assist with the acceleration of a client’s Program Management Office. Responsibilities: The PRA Senior Consultant (IPR and PMO Analyst) reports to an E&Y Senior Manager and/or Manager. The PRA Senior Consultant supports the E&Y Management in the day-to-day execution of our PRA engagements. The PRA Senior Consultant will also serve in a compliance capacity in ensuring that project management processes and guidelines are followed during the project lifecycle, as directed by the engagement manager. Key responsibilities of the PRA Senior Consultant may include: Assist in gathering required project metrics to support Project and Program risk identification and reporting Assist in the development and updating of key project management enablers (e.g., Project Portfolio, Communication Plan, Organization Charts, Issues Log, Change Request Log, Risk Log, etc) Creation of communications and presentations to support the organization, as directed by the engagement manager. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: To qualify for this highly visible position with excellent career advancement potential for the right professional, candidates must have at least 3-4 years experience that encompasses the following: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems OR a Business Degree with a minor in Computer Systems or Engineering required Masters of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems OR a Business Degree with a minor in Computer Systems or Engineering preferred Assertiveness, confidence, excellent written and verbal communication skills Effective presentation skills Demonstrated leadership skills, teaming skills and listening skills Organized and disciplined Integrity, maturity, dependability, and a positive professional attitude Candidate should be willing to pursue related professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) Ability to travel
