FAMILY LIVING AGENT ONEIDA COUNTY Be an educational leader by developing programs that promote family strengths through community-based educational programming. Plan, implement and evaluate culturally competent educational programs directed at community needs on issues relating to the purpose of the position, such as parent support and community partnerships; managing life transitions; nutrition; health and food safety for families; increasing family self-sufficiency; and family and public policy. Backed by University research, incorporate pertinent findings from social and health sciences into educational programs in an effort to strengthen the quality of family life, and increase the families' abilities to effectively manage change. The bridge between economic development and family prosperity in Oneida County has joined two important features of community well being. The Family Living Agent will participate in growing efforts to engage in ""cross programming'' with CNRED, WNEP, and Youth Development in order to achieve desired outcomes. Building on collaborative efforts, the Family Living Agent serves to convene, facilitate and provide consultation to agencies and organizations that serve families throughout the area. Recent momentum among local and regional economic development groups toward understanding social and demographic issues has focused attention on education, workforce development and area asset identification.
