Currently, we are looking for a Production Schedule and Support Consultant for our direct client. The description of the position is below.

Title: Production Schedule and Support Consultant - Job # 14414
Start: ASAP
Type: Perm
Annual Salary Range: $45,500 - 64,000
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Summary:
Controls the scheduling, job setup, input/output control operations of the data center, and has technical responsibility for assigning, directing, and checking the work of other production specialists.
Performs technical analysis of workload, equipment loading, performance bottlenecks, software changes and makes recommendations for improvements.
Generates and administers production schedules across all enterprise systems. Identify products, applications, and procedures that will eliminate inefficiencies within the data center operations area.
Write basic PERL monitoring automation scripts as required to maintain current staffing levels.
Provides support and assistance to operations personnel, programmers and client area staff to identify and resolve technical problems.
Work with other IT personnel to establish standard practices for things such as file transfers, security, and data encryption.
Determine and deploy technologies as required.
Determine, schedule, and execute applications based on business cycles.
Assures compliance with established policies and procedures.

Required Skills:
Working knowledge of Unix, Perl, Kornshell, job scheduling systems with business cycles and also requires knowledge and experience in all facets of computer operations.
Excellent communication and consultative skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and supervisory skills.
Five (5) or more years experience in computer operations or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
