Summary:

The Air Product Manager will be responsible for driving the development/execution of the Air product, representing the Air product within the broader organization, and helping to manage the implementation of Air product enhancements throughout the Product Development Lifecycle



Drive the development/execution of the Air product

- Analyze/Research the customer, market, and competition to identify which online features will address key customer opportunities and business opportunities

- Develop and recommend new opportunities with clear justification based on financial impact and/or improved customer experience

- Understand and support the financial and operational objectives for the Air line of business



Represent the Air product within the organization

- Help identify and resolve issues across the organization (i.e. Marketing, Customer Experience, other product groups, etc.).

- Understand and incorporate Supplier requirements into product plans.

- Partner with Strategy & Finance to forecast and evaluate project ROIs



Help manage the implementation of Air product enhancements throughout the Product Development Lifecycle

- Manage the project process through the Business Requirements Design and Functional Requirements Design phases, including developing use cases, error messages, and test cases

- Work with Project Management to ensure project deliverables are successfully implemented throughout the project lifecycle

- Collaborate with Technology, Information Architecture, Global Operations, and Design to generate consumer benefiting, cost effective, functional product enhancements and bug fixes

- Manage site functional production issues, including identifying, documenting, & prioritizing issues, as well as working with partners to generate solutions, monitoring results, and communicating resolutions
REQUIREMENTS


Experience/Skills

B.A./B.S. required, Masters degree/MBA a plus. Travel-industry experience a plus. .

Minimum 5 years experience, with 2+ years of specialized product management experience

Must possess the ability to truly own product planning, development and issue resolution. Self-motivated and able to proactively work toward a goal independently, without significant guidance.

Product Management including writing product requirements, communicating project details with varying constituencies

Project Management including an understanding of the project development lifecycle

Technical aptitude including understanding the ability to understand the business consequences of technical decisions

General Business including presenting to senior leadership, collaborating with organization-wide resources, and understanding the broader business impact
