Principal Subcontract Administrator

Reports to:Responsibilities to Include:
Performs advanced analytical, research-related, and/or consultative activities in order to administer and/or maintain operations, policies/procedures, and guidelines related to own function.
Analyzes and projects all aspects of department's performance, prepares analysis of performance and prepares special studies (i.e. impact, budget, etc.).
Acts as consultant to senior leaders on departmental/corporate initiatives.
Responsible for development/design and implementation of new or revised departmental policies/procedures, programs, techniques, methods, and functionally-related initiatives.
Develops and presents proposals. Responsible for allocating work to and providing guidance to lower-level employees.A Textron Company
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor Degree or equivalent.Position Requirements:
Experience with involvement in the procurement of high dollar, complex assemblies and critical commodities.
Ability to anticipate, plan and implement actions necessary to ensure product quality, cost/ budgets, schedule, technical and contractual performance.
Able to conduct Pre-Award and Post -Award management of assigned subcontracts for both production and engineering programs.
Generates Request for proposal, performs fact finding, cost/price analysis, negotiates subcontract price/terms, and develops Long Term Agreements as required.
Knowledge of FAR/DOD Procurement Regulations.
Ability to lead team (peers) in the prevention of and resolution of subcontractor issues.
Excellent communication and time management skills required.
Must be focused on supporting TS, Corporate and program goals.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Point Man and SAP.
10 years experience with FFP and Cost Reimbursable type subcontracts preferred Previous material experience in Production Control and Manufacturing preferred Able to work with minimum supervision as part of a high performance goal oriented organization.
Requires a broad understanding of departmental and company techniques, methods, and practices.License and Certification Requirements:
