Presales Representative - Systems Engineer

Systems Engineer / Presales RepresentativeOur client, one of the leading B2b, ecommerce and Web services infrastructure companies is currently seeking an experienced Systems Engineer/Presales Representative to be the technical business partner for the sales representatives in the NY/NJ metro region.The Systems Engineer's/Presales' Reps primary responsibility is to provide the technical expertise and assistance necessary to achieve and exceed territory quota.
The SE works as part of a team alongside Sales Managers to identify key customers and assists in planning sales strategy, responding to RFI's/RFP's, developing POC'S and conducting presentations. They will also be expected to nurture relationships and sell additional products and services to existing customers.Since the solutions integrate a variety of business processes, internal and external to the enterprise, it is essential for Systems Engineers to possess a broad range of knowledge including software languages, operating systems, databases, packaged applications and development environments.
REQUIREMENTS
Position Requirements:
5+ years software pre-sales/systems engineering experience.
Experience developing POC's and presenting clear and concise product briefings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience in wide range of applications and middleware particularly EAI, ERP, SCM
Knowledge of databases (Oracle, SQL server, Informix)
Knowledge of B2B technologies (EDI, Web services, RosettaNet, UCCNet)Competency in various languages and architectures minimally C/C++, Java and J2EE
