Portal Lead (Tech/Funct) Consultant
Services To Be Performed (will include, but not be limited to, the following):
A. Performs highly complex (senior-level) computer systems analysis work.
B. Performs technical assistance and support for computer and information sharing applications to meet specified requirements.
C. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates technical systems, LANs, WANs, and MANs to assess effectiveness and to formulate new or improved technical solutions.
D. May provide support and make recommendations for information technology system processes associated with software technology planning, development, implementation, system security, and interfaces.
E. Plans and prepares technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals for program development.
F. Assists in the maintenance of network facilities and network operating systems and security software.
G. May plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others.
H. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative, creativity, and independent judgment.
I. Other reasonable services as necessary for the completion of the implementation and deployment of selected DPS project(s).
II. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
5 Working knowledge of configurations applicable to network operating systems.
5 WAN: working knowledge of server and workstation hardware, hubs, gateways, modems and routers utilized.
5 MAN: working knowledge of server and workstation hardware, hubs, gateways, modems and routers utilized.
5 LAN: working knowledge of server and workstation hardware, hubs, gateways, modems and routers utilized.
2 Working experience in systems analysis and design.
2 Preparing technical reports and instructional/training manuals.
Preferences:
Years Skills/Experience
6 Months Knowledge of applicable FBI security policies and their application.
Graduation from accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, computer information systems, or management information systems. Work experience may substitute for each year of required education (on a year for year basis).
2 years Experience working with all levels of law enforcement personnel and technical/support staff at law enforcement agencies.
2 years Supervisory experience
2 years Training experience
