Job Description
In this newly created position, the successful candidate will manage all aspects of corporate space planning on a world-wide basis. This position will be based out of Millipore's Billerica, MA HQ office and will report to the Director, Corporate Properties. The primary focus of the position will be space planning for a broad range of facility types, conducting financial, cost benefit and location analyses and developing proposals for master planning strategies.Position Responsibilites:
Lead development of site Master Plans for Life Science R & D, office and manufacturing campuses around the world.
Prepare space supply and demand analysis
Translate business plans into space requirements, and
Create Space Requirement Programs documenting the quantity and qualities of space required to achieve business objectives.
Assist in the development of strategic planning, space utiliziation and construction standards
Establish cost estimates for corporate space projects and track project costs.
Make recommendations to Director on initiatives that improve the utilization of the corporate space portfolio.
Prepare customized reports including property availability, rates, trends and detailed specifics of market conditions. Communicate all phases of business to the appropriate individuals, groups and businesses
Assist in the design and construction of all large renovation projects.
Assure the success of the programs in meeting the business objectives of the Division and its commitments and agreements to the Customer.
Manage the delivery of outside contractors from the selection process; evaluate proposals and changes.Job Requirements:
High degree of professionalism, organizational astuteness and ability to develop effective relationships with both internal and external customers.
Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills
Proven leadership and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple large scale projects and strong understanding of construction concepts, practices, procedure, technologies and furniture systems.
Proven track record of meeting project deliverables.
Demonstrated success in leading a team.
Ability to sustain high levels of physical activity for inspecting construction sitesEducation/Relevant Experience:
B Architecture, BS or equivalent required. MA a plus.
8 or more years of design experience
5 or more years of project management experience
Corporate Real Estate experience a plus
AutoCAD required. 3D presentation skills a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
