Position Description

Apex Technology Solutions, LLC has immediate openings for dynamic, motivated Electronic Security Systems Specialist. Based out of Kansas, Colorado, Virginia, or Texas, these positions complement our current team of professionals who continue the company's unparalleled reputation for technical excellence and service. The Electronic Security Systems Specialist will be responsible for: understanding and reviewing system requirements; evaluating the security requirements of a site; installation and service of physical security systems; project management skills; supporting the development of technical solutions for system requirements; system initialization, software configuration and client training; documenting project progress reports and schedules. The Electronic Security Systems Specialist will provide appropriate customer service when responding to a customer request or fulfilling project requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
BASIC REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma, GED.
Trade School, Vo-tech, or equivalent experience in the security industry.
Conceptual and technical understanding of electronic access control design & installation (Minimum 2 years).
Conceptual and technical understanding of CCTV system design & installation (Minimum 2 Years).
Ability to articulate differences in various integrated systems.
Ability to understand and interface with customers.
Ability to manage projects from concept through completion.
Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
Strong interpersonal communication, technical, negotiation and teaming skills.
Strong organization, time management, and computer skills.
Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Required travel 25-50%

DESIRED SKILLS

NICET Certification. Experience and practical knowledge of the following manufacturers and/or products: Lenel, AMAG-Group 4, G.E. Interlogix (Casi Rusco), and Nexwatch preferred. 3 years performing equipment troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance for Access Control, CCTV and Intrusion Detection systems. Previous experience running cable in a commercial environment. Must be a self-starter with commitment. Must be willing to move up to a project manager position as product line grows.
