Zone: 3 Position: 2809Responsibilities:
Position is responsible for analyzing large volumes of pharmacy product price data and hospital purchase history data. This work includes maintaining electronic catalog with current contract prices, creating “what if” scenarios to predict best outcome and support decision making.Position requires experience manipulating large amounts of data using Microsoft Excel and Access. Job includes frequent use of third-party database query software (Brio).Support two Novation pharmacy product managers with combined responsibility for 3,000 contracted pharmacy products.Interacts with field sales team and with hospital customers to answer questions about contracts and pricing.
Interacts with pharmaceutical manufacturers to obtain needed data.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTSMust have experience with financial data, including price management and revenue tracking.
The ideal candidate should also possess the ability to compile key elements of information from various sources.
Prefer bachelor’s degree; MBA a plusMinimum two years experience in healthcare supply contracting
Must have experience working in a hospital’s contracting department, or experience in competitive bidding for healthcare products or services, or ideally GPO pharmacy experience.
Proven intermediate or advanced level knowledge using MS Excel and MS Access
Experience with Brio or Crystal reporting software a plus
Highly organized individual with exceptional attention to detailProfessional image with exceptional (both verbal and written) communication skillsAction oriented, high initiative, good problem-solving skills, and independent thinkingMust demonstrate teamwork and collaboration with customer service orientation.
Must proven organizational skills (written and verbal) and a mature, service-orientation. High levels of tact, judgment and diplomacy are required due to the frequency and level of internal and external contacts.Must communicate persuasively and effectively to wide range of internal and external customers.
