Part time Youth Counselor

Help children succeed

Four Oaks of Iowa, a non profit family service agency is seeking part-time Youth Counselors for our Residential Treatment program servicing children ages 8-18. This program provides comprehensive residential treatment services for youth with a variety of needs. Assesses client’s interactions in the milieu; formulates interventions based on the identified treatment plan; evaluates the progress of treatment goals; provides direct care services on assigned unit(s) completing documentation as assigned; supports agency mission as well as program mission & values, practicing safe & responsible work habits.
REQUIREMENTS
A High School Diploma/GED with one year experience in social work and a clean driving record are required. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities for this position include:Behavior Management - Provides consistent, individualized reinforcement to client behavior, using daily issues to teach and reinforce adaptive behaviors.Direct Care - Provides daily living supervision and treatment intervention.Skill Development - Observes, teaches, and models appropriate skill development.Documentation - Completes accurate and timely documentation of business activities.
