Part Time Travel Coordinator

As a Travel Coordinator you will work Part Time assisting to process internal travel requests for domestic and international reservations. This includes searching for the lowest applicable airfare within the guidelines of the BGEA Travel Policy as well as handling hotel and car rental requests. Responsibilities also include ticketing, reporting and other travel related functions, while providing excellent customer service to the travelers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Provide flight, hotel, car and other travel related information to BGEA travelers.
•Develop itineraries that meet the needs of BGEA travelers while being as cost effective as possible.
•Process airline tickets and other travel documents and distribute to the travelers.
•Assist in developing and analyzing reports on travel trends and expenditures
•Process ticket exchanges and refunds
•Assist travelers in obtaining passports and visas
•Maintain database with traveler profiles, exchanges and refunds and other travel information

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain good working relationships with travel vendors
•Assist in maintaining a BGEA intranet travel site
•Keep informed about trends and changes within the travel industry
•Assist in training BGEA travelers in Travel Department policies and procedures
•Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Skills and Knowledge

Prior travel industry experience
Experience with a travel computer reservation system (Worldspan, Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus)
Administrative skills; attention to detail, thorough, accurate, and well organized
Excellent customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Office helpful
