Serves as center-wide Coordinator for the Youth Sport/Health Connection Project, a collaborative project with Northeastern University's Sports in Society, Brookside and other partners. Serves as a liaison between the health center and participating agencies on the project. Responsible for developing relationships with the health center's pediatric providers, local coaches, community sports leaders, community youth and their families to support, implement and carry out the goals and objectives of the project. Ensures effective integration and utilization of health center services/resources. Represents the health center at various community events and project meetings, meets the required reporting activities associated with the project and keeps staff informed. Reports to the Executive Director.
REQUIREMENTS
Masters in Public Health or Health Care Administration with one year of relevant experience preferred.Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience in relevant field, with a particular focus on athletic involvement and experience required. Excellent organizational skills, independent judgment, and ability to work with a broad variety of people essential to the position. Experience with budget management highly desirable. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferredKnowledge of community resources an asset.Knowledgeable in computers; i.e., word processing, Excel, Access Database, etc required.Ability to work independently.Good organizational skills and judgment.Strong Initiative and community outreach capacity.
