Outreach Counselors

Riverside Community Care is a large and growing, non-profit healthcare and human services organization. We offer a wide range of clinical and rehabilitative programs in over 60 communities in eastern and central Massachusetts. Our staff provides community-based mental health care, mental retardation services, substance abuse treatment, and specialized health and social services. We are also nationally recognized for our expertise in helping communities cope with the aftermath of tragic events. Job Summary: Provide outreach to consumers via the phone and face to face meetings, in their apartments and community settings. Maintain regularly scheduled appointments with consumers. Works as a part of a supported housing program in providing guidance, education supervision and direct support to individuals with mental illness. Advocate for and support consumers in identifying and accessing the full range of community-based supports. Provide intervention and support strategies to assist consumers with crisis prevention, symptom management and the development of self-managed coping skills.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree plus six months of related experience, or at least three years of related experience.

Other Requirements: Car and valid driver's license is required.
