Job Description:
The Development Consultant provides lead expertise in facilitation, change management, executive coaching, and other organizational effectiveness consulting for the Tax practice nationally within Ernst & Young. This professional helps to implement the firm's people strategy and sets priorities accordingly. This individual develops expert knowledge of and consults on people development programs and processes, and works closely with leaders, staff, and other members of the HR team in a geographic area and national practices to provide consulting services that fully meet business and people needs. Responsibilities
Serve as the lead expert resource for facilitation, change management consulting, communications, training, organizational listening, and other organizational effectiveness consulting and support for the Tax practice. Implement cross-practice strategies and provide expertise for critical people initiatives, programs and processes including firm-wide strategy, people/career development, gender, and ethnicity. Coordinate with other HR staff, including service line contacts, to fully understand the needs of and effectively support specific businesses and people. Surface the learning needs of clients and funnel needs to other consultants, as appropriate. Provide expert input into and participate in program design/development teams. Serve as a key resource for information on programs and processes developed. Serve as the lead executive coach in a geographic area. Provide executive and team coaching/training in areas such as counselor support/training, mentoring, and team effectiveness. Provide career coaching support for employees turned down for transfers or exiting employees, as requested. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: To qualify for this career opportunity, candidates must have: a bachelor's degree in a related discipline a related advanced degree preferred 8-10 years in an organizational development role exceptional consulting, coaching, and facilitation skills excellent strategic thinking, conceptual thinking, and influencing ability an understanding of the firm and specific client businesses the ability to build an internal consulting business the ability to support and lead change
The successful candidate must also be willing and able to travel at least 30% of the time.
