Job Description:
The Development Consultant provides facilitation, change management, coaching and other organizational effectiveness (OE) consulting expertise for select practices in the Metro New York area. Assists in implementation of the people strategy and sets priorities accordingly. Applies expert knowledge of programs and processes to facilitate implementation that fully meets business and people needs. Responsibilities Serves as a skilled resource in the geographic area for facilitation, change management consulting, training, communications, organizational listening and other OE consulting and support. Provides cross practice implementation expertise and support to people initiatives, programs and processes, including (but not limited to): Balanced Scorecard, Global People Survey, PeoplePoint processes and facilitation and inclusiveness programs. Coordinates with other People Team members, including People Team Leaders and People Consultants, to understand the needs and effectively support specific businesses and people. Surfaces leaning needs, communicates and collaborates with learning consultants. Serves as a key resource for information, programs and processes developed in the People Development and OE Centers of Expertise (COE). Participates on COE design and development teams. Provides individual and team coaching and training in areas such as counselor support/training, mentoring, and team effectiveness. Provides career coaching support for employees. May provide individual coaching support to employees. Receives general supervision and frequently works on projects with only periodic updates to supervisor. With some guidance, applies consultative approach model to identify and address business needs. Provides implementation expertise regarding people processes and programs in collaboration with business leaders. At the Supervising Associate level — a seasoned professional whose knowledge has been expanded through exposure to diverse situations and can deal with issues that can deviate substantially from the norm. Duties are varied in scope and require a broad knowledge base to perform. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience approximately 4-7 years of related work experience Knowledge and Skills Intermediate (greater than basic) capability in the following key skills: Coaching, consulting, facilitation, supporting and leading change, strategic and conceptual thinking, influencing, project management Thorough understanding of the firm and relevant businesses is required
