The Development Consultant (DC) for Americas Real Estate Services / Enterprise Support Services / Office of Firm Security is responsible for providing performance development consulting services to close individual and group performance gaps to support the strategic objectives of the ARES / ESS / OFS groups. The DC works closely with the Intellinex Core Business Services Learning Consultants to identify development and learning needs and appropriate solutions that meet the needs of their assigned groups. This professional works with associates, vendors, and internal resources to design, develop, and evaluate performance development efforts and organizational strategies for his/her clients. In addition, the DC provides development and change management support for national ARES / ESS / OFS projects and initiatives and works closely with the ARES / ESS / OFS People Advisory Group on human resource strategies.
This individual reports to the Communications, Development, & Knowledge (CD&K) Leader and works closely with other DCs and CD&K team members in a virtual, matrixed environment. Responsibilities Assigned to national initiatives and projects for ARES / ESS / OFS and those that primarily impact ESS personnel in the field. Responsibilities extend to specific geographic Areas and / or national group(s). Provide lead expertise in change management, coaching, facilitation, development and performance consulting, succession management consulting, organizational and performance management support, and strategic planning. Work on projects and initiatives that are aligned with the ESS Balanced Scorecard and identified by the ARES / ESS / OFS Advisory Groups. Work closely with other ARES / ESS OFS national groups to assist with the successful implementation of field-based projects. Work closely with the CBS Learning Consultants to provide consulting services that fully meet business and people needs. May surface learning needs of clients and funnel needs to CBS Learning Consultants. Work collaboratively with CBS Learning Consultants to address employee performance needs. Partner with ESS management / teams for purposes of identifying and contracting performance development initiatives, which address clients' needs. Develop a contract for results that closely define performance gaps, recommended interventions, influencing factors, reinforcement processes, measurement plans, and accountabilities. Strategize with leadership and performance development professionals to implement organizational and performance development initiatives. Analyze business needs and actual performance, identify performance gaps, and determine root causes (including skill and knowledge deficiencies) with managers and teams. Conduct organizational analysis as necessary. Implement Level 1, 2, 3 & 4 performance evaluations to identify and report the impact of performance development initiatives. Recommend corrective action if required. Coach client management, at multiple levels, to take action in support of organizational and performance development initiatives. Coach and / or mentor assigned line managers and team members as required. Lead project design teams and ensure deliverables and time frames meet expectations. Manage resources, people, and logistics to effectively deliver organizational development and performance programs within established budget guidelines. Participate on cross-functional teams, ensuring the integration of performance development requirements.

A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, Master's degree preferred Approximately 7-10 years of experience in organizational or performance development role. Proven analytical capability in conducting performance analysis Demonstrated project management / change management skills Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship building, consulting, teamwork and leadership skills Exceptional consulting, coaching, and facilitation skills Excellent strategic thinking, conceptual thinking, and influencing ability The ability to support and lead change The successful candidate must also be willing and able to travel, as appropriate.
