Oracle DBA

Our client, one of the world's leading hotel companies and the world's largest internet retailers, has an immediate need for an Oracle DBA
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 6-8 years experience as a Oracle DBA in a UNIX environment with experience in version 9 and 10G.
Must have Oracle RAC 10G experience
Must have experience designing high performance oracle OLTP databases
Must have experience using ERWIN tool to design databases and generate ddl.
Must have extensive experience in Oracle SQL tuning (explain plan analysis, TKPROF, indexing correctly, Stats pack analysis).
Must have past experience working with developers to explain oracle features and to create and enhance databases- design and create tables, indexes and all database objects
Must have experience with Oracle query tuning for a data warehouse and STAR schema design and use of bit-map indexes.
Must have experience with Oracle Very Large Databases (VLDB) of at least 1TB or more.
Must have extensive experience in Oracle Database performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Plus to have experience in creating Oracle materialized views and the use of the Oracle Summary Advisor.
Must have a solid understanding of all Oracle data warehousing features such as partitioning etc.
Must have strong UNIX skills and shell scripting and ORACLE tools (sqlloader, export, import),
Experience with implementing Oracle security features such as encryption and VPD- virtual private database is a plus.
Must be self motivated and able to multi-task in a team environment.
Must be team oriented.
Must have strong organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, and able to follow-through with various projects.
Must have excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate with users.

Education:
Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering/Science or related field or equivalent business/technical experience.

Certification:
Oracle Certification is a plus.
