Job Description:
The Operations Specialist works closely with our Shared Services Center Management team in evaluating processes, benchmarking performance, documenting procedures, and implementing training to enhance overall quality and efficiency. Responsibilities Under direct supervision, analyze & document department results and provide feedback to department management. Work with department management in identifying opportunities for improvement, developing training material/updates, and implementing procedural enhancements. Perform as a facilitator of teams comprised of functional managers and subject matter experts to develop standards and procedures within the Shared Services Center. Coordinate and implement training in conjunction with functional departments. Manage special requests on an ad hoc basis. Pro-actively prepare for new developments. Understands the expectations of customers and delivers service that meets or exceeds customer’s needs within policy guidelines; identifies and resolves issues that impact the delivery of quality service. Exhibits a positive can-do attitude and approach to responsibilities; meets new challenges and changes with an open mind; demonstrates commitment to the job. Works effectively with others within work team, department and Shared Services Center; contributes to an environment that promotes effective teamwork and collaboration. Proficient with firm standard technology including Windows, Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, Internet, Business Objects, PeopleSoft, etc. Understands finance, accounting and/or human resources operations; requires basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, internal accounting controls, tax issues, compliance, etc. Uses good judgment in applying concepts and guidelines; demonstrates healthy skepticism and effective problem solving and analytical skills; follows through on commitments and demonstrates ownership of results; effectively prioritizes assignments; identifies and works to overcome barriers to achieve results. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience approximately 0-2 years of related work experience (2-5 years business experience strongly preferred) effective verbal and written communication skills
