Description:

These jobs predominantly involve providing network-related consultation & installation services. This includes providing coordination between customers and other Ingenix support services, Note: this job family includes LAN & WAN and Security Configuration on Checkpoint, PIX, firewalls as well as Load-Balancing Technologies.



Responsibilities:


Comprehensive consultation at highest technical level on all phases of project development cycle.


Works with client to specify complex business requirements.


Analysis, design, testing, documentation and implementation for extremely complex systems.


Research and provide best practices.


Define metrics related to network development; predict the impact of tools on a given environment.


Provides highly technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new technologies to meet business unit strategic objectives.


Perform contract admin, incl. Enforcement of service-level agreements.


Develop RFP documents for equipment and services.


Performance and Capacity: Perform network monitoring & tuning.


Analyze measurement data using modeling tech; perform network configuration analysis and fine-tune.


Develop plans for expansion and future enhancements.


Disaster and Recovery: Ensure that networks support data integrity and backups are completed / tested as scheduled.


Provide measures to support hardware / software network fault tolerance; participate in development and execution of a business resumption plan.


Project Planning: In conjunction with the Project Manager; develop plans, tasks, milestone, resource needs and schedules.


Track and report status and variances.


Conduct formal project reviews as requirements.


Job Requirements:

Qualifications:
Advanced Security and network knowledge is required.
Consultative expertise.
Mentoring skills.
Manages large projects.
5+ years of solid, diverse experience in IT architecture or equivalent education and experience.
Experience in distributed environment related topologies, protocols and Security Concepts.
Large network planning project experience.
Extensive operating systems experience.
No direct management responsibilities; but highly accountable for the quality, effectiveness and timeliness of project design decisions and ease of implementation.
