NETWORK CONTROL ANALYST

CDI has an Immediate Need for a NETWORK CONTROL ANALYST

Ten months plus assignment for a Network Control Analyst in Charlotte, NC, working rotating shifts.

This Network Control Analyst will monitor and diagnose problems with all telecommunications infrastructures (i.e., SONET, DWDM, microwave, data network, telephone systems, radio, and other wireless systems). Will use network management tools and problem solving skills to restore service. Will dispatch and work with field technicians as required to restore service. Will report and manage outages with other service providers. Will perform testing and turn-up of new circuits for internal and external customers using network management tools and through the coordination with field technicians.

Required skills include two year electronic or computer engineering degree or equivalent telecommunications or data networking work experience; working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook applications; working knowledge with transport equipment (SONET, DWDM, DACS) including testing and turn-up of circuits on systems; working knowledge of DS0 DS1, DS3, STS1, OC-3, 12, and 48 circuit testing parameters and measurements.

Desired experience includes CCNA certification and expertise in Nortel and Cisco SONET, Lucent and Tellabs DACS, and CenTest testing equipment.
