We provide our services while remaining focused on finding cost-effective ways to save tax dollars.The Multistate Income Tax Senior Consultant (“Senior Consultant”) works with a team to identify tax savings opportunities for clients and to gain an understanding of how the client computes each component of the state corporate income and franchise tax, including researching issues, reconciling state income and franchise tax returns and workpapers, completing detailed tax calculations, and implementation of planning strategies.Assists Manager in developing project workplans and scheduling associated project deliverables.
Responds to client inquiries and requests from state agencies.
Travels to client locations to gather information and copy documents.
Reviews documentation and researches issues.
Works with raw data to complete calculations.
Prepares and files amended state corporate income and franchise tax returns.
Drafts filings, such as petitions for redetermination, refund claims, and various other administrative replies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance with three to five years income tax experience.
