Manufacturing and Distribution ERP Systems - Senior and Managing

Project Leadership Associates, Inc. is a high growth, Chicago based, professional services company (over 130 full-time professionals) that specializes in providing the mid-sized business marketplace with business and technology consulting solutions across its full breadth of Management Consulting and technology solution practices. The firm’s manufacturing and distribution management consulting practice is expanding. Project Leadership desires to identify consulting candidates with manufacturing and distribution business analysis, ERP solutions selection and implementation project management experience.



Overall Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for performing business analysis activities and project management consulting services across a wide continuum of planning, process, organization and technology-based client projects. Project Leadership delivers business and technology consulting services to assist manufacturing and distribution companies.



Consultant will deliver services and will have overall responsibility for:

· managing the client relationship (typically in conjunction with company management and/or account management personnel)

· developing and managing scope, hours and costs of work performed

· managing client teams comprised of Project Leadership and client personnel

· identifying, managing and mitigating project and client issues during the course of projects



Consultant Project Responsibilities:

Lead ERP requirements, solution selection and implementation project management activities
Perform general project management activities, including:
Manage project teams (both internal and client)
Develop and manage scope of work and project plans
Manage projects to client satisfaction
Manage projects to budget
Facilitate required status and other meetings with client and staff
Provide Presales and Proposal development assistance
Develop client recommendation sets
Identify other business opportunities


Requirements:



Eight (8) years minimum experience managing Information Technology projects, five (5) of which were lead Project Manager roles
Three (3) years minimum supervisory experience
Six (6) years minimum business/technology consulting experience
Strong client communications, client relationship development and management and business influence skills
Strong familiarity with manufacturing and distribution ERP solutions that may include JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Axapta or similar solutions.
