DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Advising:
•Assist prospective students in making realistic career decisions
•Provide career and academic advising regarding all services and programs, on or off campus.
•Assist students in procurement of financial aid funding resources and information; discuss options and assist students in completing necessary forms in a timely and efficient manner.
•Ensure understanding by, and provide assistance to, students in the admission process. Review and discuss assessment requirements and outcomes with prospective students and assist them in understanding their skill abilities and levels and how those abilities and levels relate to the demands of a chosen program of study.
•Periodically review assessment tools, forms, materials, and requirements; make recommendations for change to improve service delivery.
•Coordinate with Applied Academics regarding student referrals.
•Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic knowledge and data regarding all available College and University programs and services.
•Refer students to other Boise State and community counseling resources where appropriate.
•Coordinate and assist in providing liaison activities and information about student support services/programs to high schools, teachers, students, counselors, funding agencies and other target markets.
•Work effectively with a wide variety of people with diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.

Admissions & Registration:
•Develop and interpret admission/registration procedures relevant to Larry Selland College.
•Oversee the communication flow as part of the enrollment management plan.
•Oversee and coordinate the work of advisors, counselors and customer service representatives.
•Attend various College or University committees as assigned.
•Coordinate all high school visits to Larry Selland College.
•Coordinate all recruiting activities for Larry Selland College within the Treasure Valley.
•Work closely with the Marketing Coordinator to produce appropriate marketing/promotional information.
•Work closely with the Call Center Coordinator to contact as many prospective students as possible.
•Coordinate with Records Unit and program faculty for gathering, analysis, recording and reporting of placement, follow-up, job out, and outcomes assessment activities.


QUALIFICATIONS:
•Masters Degree or equivalent combination of education and full time professional experience
•Knowledge, skills and a minimum of 3 years experience in student service
•Working knowledge of workforce training programs and familiarity with assessment tools and financial funding resources is strongly desired

Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience working with under-represented populations

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Salary range is $48,000-$50,000 for a 12-month appointment. Benefits package included.
