We are currently interviewing for 2 Management Consultants to join our Strategic Projects Group
What You Will Be Doing:
Promote and facilitate the organization’s continuing efforts to improve processes, procedures, systems, and overall results by leading projects in the areas of business process redesign, business research, and strategic initiative implementation. Continue to develop knowledge and experience, while in the Senior Consultant role, in order to assume a leadership role (project or line management) in one of the American General profit centers.
45% Business Consulting. Consult with management to identify and develop strategies to support key business objectives. Identify and facilitate consideration of external best-practice information into project process and systems design/redesign. Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making. Develop solutions that will produce positive results in a cost-effective manner.
20% Project Management. Coordinate and/or lead cross-functional/company project initiatives in support of company strategic initiatives and goals. Projects may entail analysis to implementation and project activities may include: Project initiation - definition of project scopes and design of project approaches. Project administration - development, monitoring, and maintenance of project plans and other key project documentation. Facilitation and/or participation on relevant project teams. Active communication of priorities and strategic initiatives to team members. Communication of project status and issues with all stakeholders. Identification of key issues/problems and facilitation of their resolution. Monitoring of project status, analysis of impact of changes and appropriate plan modification.
30% Business Process Analysis and Redesign. Identify and document current business process and/or system workflows. Identify and prioritize business requirements for specific initiatives. Perform business process, workflow, vendor and best practices analyses. Monitor the internal and external environments for issues/trends that affect project analysis and solution design. Develop and present recommendations to Management team.

5% Other. Provide project management and/or facilitation skills as requested on other division projects. Help initiate and manage department-specific projects, such as marketing and team building. Continuously enhance job/industry knowledge and skills through professional development activities.
What We Require: To be a success, this highly motivated individual will need to have:
A bachelors degree and three - five years of professional experience in a position where continuous improvement is the norm, such as Consulting, Internal Auditing, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, or Financial/Business Management. An MBA or relevant experience in financial services, operations, payroll, or systems design/integration a plus, but not required. US work experience required. Must be flexible for travel up to 20%.
Knowledge/Skills:
Advanced knowledge of project management and management consulting methodologies and approaches. Solid knowledge of business principles, strategy, systems technology, processes, and operations. Demonstrated leadership ability. Demonstrated consulting, group facilitation, change management, and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated record of initiative, adaptability, and real-time problem solving and decision making. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously involving various departments and levels of employees. Strong interpersonal skills, oral communication, presentation skills, and business writing skills. Strong PC technology skills.
