Location Research Analyst

MapInfo Corporation, a global software leader, seeks a Client Services Analyst in our Ann Arbor, MI office. The right candidate will be an integral part of our talented client services team, contributing to leading MapInfo’s continued growth.

MapInfo combines sophisticated research methodologies with hands-on experience to help clients establish and expand their geographic presence through strategic location and market research. The company works with the management-level clients in the retail and restaurant industries, as well as other consumer-driven industries such as healthcare and financial institutions, to identify the factors that drive each client’s concept. We combine this research with internal methodologies to develop actionable strategic recommendations for future site deployment. MapInfo is looking for qualified and ambitious candidates to join our growing team of professionals.
REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geography, business, or related field
•Coursework or direct experience in site location research
•Strong writing skills including the ability to write reports and business
correspondence
•Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
•Proficiency in GIS (Map Info and/or Arc/View), Excel, and Word
•Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively present information to outside vendors, clients and other employees of the organization
•Good organizational and time management skills
•Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects
