Life Skills Associates (PT and PRN) [Philadelphia Elwyn]

Primary Function: Assist consumers in the development of skills leading to greater independence in the area of adult daily living. Support consumers in developing an understanding and appreciation of community resources leading to the development of friendships and other valued roles in the community. Develop and implement Individual Program/Service Plan. Assist consumer in all aspects of normalized daily living (care of home, cleaning, laundry, room care, personal hygiene, menu planning, food shopping, dressing, etc.)Job Requirements
Experience: Two (2) years experience in a residential setting preferred. Minimum one (1) year experience working with individuals with Mental Retardation. Maintenance of valid driver's license in required for the positions.

Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
