Life Sciences PMP Manager

Large scale project management (PMP certified preferred) Â
Biological and Pharmaceutical business process re-engineering Â
R&D, Manufacturing, and Commercial operations. This Manager will report to a Managing Director in the life sciences group (western region).
Location/s: West Coast Offices (Orange County, Mountain View)
Relocation: Preferably not.
Performance Profile:
This resource will provide large scale project management oversight and directly manage other consulting resources in the attainment of contractual goals. Ideally, the resource will have a demonstrated ability in managing package implementations, process re-engineering projects, and possess subject matter expertise in multiple areas of Biological and Pharmaceutical manufacturing. Possible technologies might include ERP, MES, LIMs, Quality Systems, PLM, and PDM. Top performing team members are capable of contributing in the development of new service area offerings (service development) and effectively develop new opportunities within the existing customer base. This resource will normally be involved from the Strategy phase through Implementation and would normally be expected to perform as a project manager.
This resource will participate in business development activities for new and existing clients. Activities will include business development meetings, presentation development, proposal development and orals presentations. This person will directly interact with clients during business development activities as well as during engagements. Exceptional performers are capable of appropriately interacting with the various clients and working toward a common goal in spite of organizational impediments or historical limitations.Position-specific Requirements:
Experience working in Life Sciences (Biotech and / or Pharma), preferably leading large scale ERP or MES implementations, and should have competency in one or more operational / process area such as R&D, Technology Transfer, Manufacturing, Commercialization, etc. Ideally the candidate would have working technical knowledge of ERP and Enterprise Integration applications
Minimum years of experience required – 7 years
Minimum industry experience required – 4 years
Travel requirement - Average 70% at client sites, where US clients are located in the West or Midwest (near Chicago), and North East.
