Legal Training Consultant

Wolters Kluwer Law and Business currently has an exciting opportunity for a Legal Training Consultant. This position will be located primarily in Los Angeles, working from your home-based office. The primary role is to work with Account Managers to increase revenue, usage and customer preference for CCH Internet Research Network at large law firms by providing training and support. The Legal Training Consultant will assist in the training of the sales and sales management team on new and existing products sold into the legal market.

Key Responsibilities:
oCollaborate with Account Managers and Sales Management in achieving regional and national sales goals by providing training and support.
oDevelop, market and deliver training classes at customer locations and via teleconference.
oEffectively manage territory to ensure that all customers are served/trained on a regular basis in a cost-effective manner.
oEffective relationship building with customers.
oResponsible for efforts to ensure customers know how to use our products.
oSupport sales representatives to increase product proficiency and sales effectiveness through training.
oProvide marketing efforts in regards to training, including trade shows, new product releases and testing of new software and/or functionality.
oExplain legal research concepts clearly and adapt training to meet audience needs.
oManage competing demands of learning and implementing product and legal research training for customers and sales representatives.
oIdentify training issues, opportunities and concerns.
oMay perform other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
Key Requirements:
oBachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required.
oDesire to train with some on the job experience in the legal field (Paralegal, Librarian, Attorney, etc.) highly preferred.
oLegal research training a plus. Previous training background
recommended.

oAbility to work from home office in the Los Angeles area.

Competencies or Other Needed Skills:
oCommunication Skills - writing and editing and delivering customer-training programs to law firms. Listening and responding to customer concerns and suggestions. Communicating effectively with Account Managers to plan and execute strategy.
oTechnical Training - needs to explain legal research concepts clearly and adapt training to meet audience needs.
oProblem Solving - work with Account Manager and/or reps to analyze and address issues in a timely manner.
oAdaptability - ability to manage competing demands or learning and implementing product and legal research training for customers and sales reps.
oExperience with Windows and Microsoft Office applications required. Lotus Notes experience recommended.
oStrong organizational, time management and project management skills required.
oAbility to work independently and in a team environment.
oPrevious sales and/or marketing experience helpful
oMay be required to travel up to 30 - 40% of time.
