If you're looking to join a pediatric institution as your employer of choice, you need to look at the best in the nation.The Knowledge Architect/Senior Solutions Consultant [KA] is responsible for developing innovative information systems solutions and alternatives to address specific business needs in the area of Knowledge Management. The KA will work with a diverse team to create an overall knowledge management strategy as well as consult on the execution of that strategy. The KM will examine such factors as database architectures, ETL tools, workflow process, nomenclatures, financial and clinical decision support, etc. in construction of the overall approach and implementation strategy. Expert in analysis, the KA will have a demonstrated level of education and experience with databases, data warehouses and associated tools and technologies, e.g. data harvesting tools, etc. and ability to apply that understanding to specific business and clinical needs of the CHOP community.Principle activities of the knowledge architect/senior solutions consultant will be:
1. Development of an overall knowledge management strategy for diverse and distinct databases
2. Lead and/or assist with different phases of the strategy execution for program and project initiatives
3. Directly lead and/or facilitate meetings to collect, devise and design knowledge management requirements
4. Devising business solutions of business problems related to knowledge management
5. Formulate policies, guidelines, principles and procedures for incorporation in solution sets
6. Act as an expert level consultant to implementation and/or maintenance teamsSuccess is achieved by helping clients create and possibly implement innovative solutions which:
Ensure internal and external compliance
Maximize patient safety and minimize organizational, technical and/or financial risk
Ensure customer adoption
Create value within the organization and maximize the ideal experience as determined by measurable qualitative/quantitative metrics
Are in alignment with IS and CHOP strategic goals, initiatives and drivers
Are fiscally responsibleThe Knowledge Architect/Senior Solutions Consultant plays a major role in the initiation and definition of proposed IS projects, systems enhancements and new systems. The Senior Solutions Consultant is challenged with identifying and researching problem/issues, proposing innovative ideas, designing appropriate solutions structures, researching best practice models and/or vendor production solutions which provide a solid foundation for decision-making, prioritization, resourcing and resultant project plans. REQUIREMENTS
? BS or BA degree in IS or related business field; master's preferred.
Demonstrated experience with strategy formulation and knowledge engineering/management.
Some project methodology and process improvement techniques.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle.
Five years of experience in management of delivery teams.

Working knowledge of multiple business processes supported; detailed working knowledge of specific related domains.
Demonstrated project management experience, specifically in IT, healthcare environment preferred.
Change agent and visionary demeanor.
Consultant skills strongly preferred.
Demonstrated business knowledge in one or more departmental operations in healthcare. Excellent relationship-building, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional work teams, including internal employees as well as consultants and contractors.
Demonstrated experience in researching, initiating and incorporating complex projects into the business environment.
Ability to prioritize work, excellent organizational skills Initiative and accountability. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Flexible thinker, with an ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment.
Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools - e.g., Microsoft Project, Visio. Microsoft Office applications.
