Qualified candidates will be responsible for developing Java applications, web services and web interfaces on Windows and Linux. The candidate will participate in all software development life cycle phases including requirements, design, development, verification, deployment and maintenance. The work environment is very dynamic and the ideal candidate is a self-starter with a solid understanding of technologies. The candidate will be developing a PESC DTS compliant web service to support the custom solutions. The web service will be written in Java and run on the JBoss application server. The web service is based on a WSDL file, and uses the SOAP protocol. We develop in Eclipse using Axis.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical RequirementsJ2EE, Java, Web Services, WSDL, SOAP, XML, JMS, EJB
JBoss 3.2.5, Apache, Eclipse, Axis
RDBMS Experience (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
The following are also desired but not required:Adobe LiveCycle Application experience
Software engineering experience
Experience in large, multi-tiered production environments
Non-technical Requirements:Participate in at least one full software development life cycle.
A Bachelor’s degree in a Technical, Scientific or Engineering discipline that involves light software development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to communicate effectively with people of various technical skill levels, including other engineering groups, Technical Support, Business Operations, Sales, and external clients
Ability to maintain own workflow, effectively prioritizing to best meet departmental or organizational goals
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
The ability and interest to visit our nationwide clients - A road warrior (100% travel)
Consulting/client facing experience is desired but not required
